About Me
My name is Danielle Chesney, and I was born and raised in California, but today I call Cincinnati, Ohio home. When I was 13 years old, I lost my mom to breast cancer. Losing her changed the course of my life in ways I could never have imagined. While time has continued to move forward, the impact of losing a parent at such a young age has never truly left me. Grief has grown and changed over the years, but so has my desire to find meaning in it. At 18, I moved across the country to attend the University of Kentucky, where I earned my bachelor's degree.
Today, I'm pursuing my dream of becoming a registered nurse because I want to spend my life caring for and supporting others through some of their most difficult moments. After moving to Cincinnati, I realized something was missing. I longed to meet other women who understood what it was like to lose a parent at a young age—not because they had read about grief, but because they had lived it. I wanted a place where we could share stories, remember our parents, laugh together, cry together, and remind
one another that we are not alone.
That's why I created this community
My hope is that this becomes more than a support group. I hope it becomes a place where genuine friendships are formed, and where healing is found in connection.
